So we have arrived safely back in North America.  I am jet lagged!  It is 5 a.m. and I am wide awake.  I guess I will sleep better tomorrow.  The plan is to return to Western Kentucky on Thursday.  It will be an all day drive.

Europe was amazing.  I have fallen deeper in love with Switzerland.  I fell in love with it the first time I visited.  Now I love it even more.  It is such a beautiful country.  The mountains to the lakes.  The villages and cities...all amazing.  The deep colors of the houses and buildings - all the art work and incredible architecture - with the backdrop of the blue sky and cirrus clouds.  A canvas covered with God's masterpiece.

A lot of good memories from this trip.  I think Joey and David had a blast as well.  It isn't everyday that you can have a snowball fight in August!  I could handle that every month of the year.

I am looking forward to our next trip in October and November.  We are going to visit China and then go scuba diving off of Lizard Island in Australia.  When I return home it will be well into the fall months and WINTER will be right around the corner.  I am already excited about the prospects of chasing some snow storms.

Should be a fun second half to 2007!

I ended up with an A in my meteorology class.  Final grades were posted this morning.  I am happy about that.  I doubt I will be able to maintain an A though with these two math classes.  Not my favorite subject.  Anything but math.  :(  We will see how it goes.  Hopefully not as bad as my mind images it.

Wasterloo...August 7, 2007

Severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for portions of Southern Ontario.  Looks like a rainy/stormy day ahead.  Radar at 7 a.m. shows the storms moving in from the west.

Well Waterloo is wet.  It rained almost all day yesterday.   That was fine with me because I love the rain!  :)  HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT back home.  Temperatures were near 100 degrees yesterday and the day before.  Heat Index values have been close to 110 across portions of the region.  Looks like the heat will continue today.  I am going to do my best to bring some cooler air with me when I return on Thursday!

The kids have started back to school.  ALREADY.  Yeesh they just got out of school.  :(

So we are heading home on Thursday.  I will be sad to leave Waterloo because I have had so much fun.  I am sure David will be as well.  I am planning on coming back up in September though.  It will be a long drive back to Paducah!  At least I have someone to help drive this time.  :)  So that is good.  Looking forward to sleeping in my bed again.  I am sure Daisy is going to be thrilled to see us!  I would imagine that she will be WILD for a few days.  I figure she thinks we are never coming back!  I don't know what she will do this winter when I am in Boston for two months.

Cloudy here in Waterloo this morning with just a few breaks letting some sunshine pass through.  Looks like more rain in the coming days for this region.  We sure could use that back in the Ohio Valley.

We went to see the new Bourne Movie last night but somehow ended up in the Chuck and Larry Movie!  It was HILARIOUS!!!  Well worth seeing.  One of the funnier movies I have seen this year!
