HEADING FOR SWITZERLAND! We are leaving at noon on a train
for Switzerland. Big fan of trains...so I am excited.
:) Hopefully there will be plenty of beautiful
country-side to see. It is cloudy this morning.
Temperatures were in the 50s last night. Should be in the
70s when we arrive in Zurich. Jason tells me it was in the
middle to upper 90s yesterday back home. Nasty heat.
FALL is near though...so hold out some hope that cooler
temperatures are just around the corner!
We will be back in
Canada on Monday Night. Then heading for Paducah on
Wednesday or Thursday. Probably Wednesday. School
starts soon! I also have a family reunion to attend at the
end of August. So August will be fairly busy it sounds
like!
Afternoon in Zurich...
Great day in Switzerland! The train ride was fun.
Lot of beautiful scenery on the way over. We passed
through Austria as we headed into Switzerland. The ride
lasted about 4 hours. Zurich is as beautiful as ever.
The weather is just incredible Mild temperatures...coolish
tonight even. I don't think I will be happy to return to
the heat and humidity the has settled in back home. Heat
index in Paducah this afternoon was over 100 degrees. Ouch
on that! More like YUCK.
But anyway...fall is fairly
close. :)

So anyway a few pictures from today. Tired from the long
day! I guess we will be back on our own soil by early next
week! At least in Canada. I am planning on driving
home on Wednesday or Thursday. The pile of mail is about
six feet tall by now! I am sure my mother will be glad
that I have returned. Dione and Tommy as well! They
have been watching the place. Dylan has been helping out
some as well. Then there is Daisy :) She will be
thrilled!
We are staying at the Widder Hotel in the main part of
Zurich. Beautiful area.
