Heading for Germany this afternoon. So back to packing
here! Trying to get my batteries charged on the camera and
computer. Still waiting on my fourth quarter test results.
Seems to be a delay in getting them back. I did receive a
100 on my quiz! The quiz isn't worth that much though...soooo
I would rather have a 100 on my quarterly test! Guess I
will have to check again later today to see if he has released
the test scores. Crossing fingers! Finals are
Monday/Tuesday. |

Munich is located in southern Germany...near the
border of Austria. |

Let me make a comment this morning concerning what happened in
Phoenix yesterday. It is sad to see lives wasted in order
to provide tabloid news to Americans. Police officers
chasing speeders down an interstate or highway is NOT news.
Lindsey Lohan is NOT news. Paris Hilton is NOT news.
Nicole Richie is NOT news. These so called stories are
TABLOID. Nothing more and nothing less. It is not
real journalism. It is nothing more than high drama on the
airwaves. An insult to our intelligence. REAL news
is what is happening in Iraq, Darfur, the human rights
violations in China, Cuba, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the list goes
on. THESE are the REAL news stories.
Unfortunately, Americans have become accustomed to watching
high speed car chasers on their national news. Why?
Do people really enjoy this? Are we so bored with our own
lives that we have to be "entertained" by the news media by
allowing them to show a purse snatcher being chased down the
streets of Los Angeles. Can we no longer handle the
"boring" news concerning world events. Have we become a
nation, that is so stupid, that all we can understand are the
Hollywood Stories of Entertainment Tonight? I call it the
McDonalds Generation. Thirty-second news clips of
nothingness - the MTV Generation. Give it to me now and
give it to me fast. I don't want the details.
The lives lost in yesterday helicopter crashes were wasted.
It is sad and unfortunate. I feel angry seeing the photos
of the downed crashes. I know a lot of individuals in the
news industry and I know that I am not alone when I say that
this type of reporting should stop. It should have stopped
a long time ago.
Just like the paparazzi, that helped bring about the death of
Princess Diana, this type of reporting is not necessary.
This won't be the last accident if news organizations don't
change their policies. It is unfortunate. Prayers
and thoughts to the families impacted by this needless tragedy.

Sunday 10 a.m. errrr 3 p.m. :)

about 7 hours. I believe we got in around 7 a.m. - give or
take! Pretty jet lagged here...felt like a train ran over
me. |

AN AWESOME AFTERNOON AND EVENING IN MUNICH. A BEAUTIFUL
CITY!!!! We walked around for a few hours. The
architecture here is just amazing. Some of the buildings
are over 500 years old. We saw several that were 600-700
years old. Amazing churches and cathedrals. There is
a large Catholic and Lutheran population here. The
churches are amazing. Breathtaking to see. Larger
than life in size...something out of a fairy tale book.
They look like the castles you might find in Cinderella or Snow
White. Large stone structures with many carvings inside
and outside. Massive doorways that lead up to the
entrances. Inside the churches are carvings and statues of
priests and saints. Truly amazing to experience the old
European flavor. The area we walked around this evening had a
large number of artists playing their music. We listened
to the Chello, Violins, Harp, Wooden Flute, and many other
instrument types. You can see the pictures below of some
of that.
The ambiance was incredible! I loved it. Just
hearing the music sent your mind into another space...somewhere
far away. Perhaps a day dream of sorts. Course that
could be the jet lag :) lol.
We had a nice dinner at a German Restaurant. I made an
attempt to order Calf Knuckle but the waitress decided I should
have something else. I think she thought I would never eat
it once it was in front of me! lol She could be
right. Well I tried at least!
Extremely tired. We slept a couple of hours this
afternoon. It is nearly 11 p.m. now while back home it is
5 p.m. or so - my body thinks it is 5 p.m. Felt like a
truck ran over me earlier! Hopefully it will not be so bad
later tonight. The bad thing is that you wake up at 2 or 3
a.m. and you are WIIIDDDEEEE awake. That is what I would
like to avoid! |

David said this little car, looks like a smart car, dates back
to just
after the war. :) I like it!!!! |
|
Hey are those Canadian Geese????
This is the largest park in Germany and I believe Europe - Urban
park that is. |
|
Rain clouds rolled in while we were at the park. It
absolutely
poured on us for about 10 minutes! We hid under a tree and
I made
some attempt to cover all three of us with my little jacket!
It
made for a fun experience in the park. :) I love my
rain! |

Just amazing to see all of these old churches...hundreds of
years old. Covered with carvings and stone statues.
You can see all of the saints going up and around this doorway.
Beautiful. |
