Well it is Sunday again.  Another week has swept right by us!  I guess this year is about half-way over.  Not sure how that happened.  Before you know it we will be celebrating Christmas and New Years again.  I think that the older you get (not that I am getting old - heavens no) the faster time seems to go.  I had a science teacher in high school that says there is science behind that.  He taught us that the older you get the more time your mind has experienced.  The more time your mind experiences means that it perceives time as passing faster and faster.  Sort of scary!  This is why, when you are a little kid, that a week seems like forever.  Ask a 90 year old person hold long a week feels like!  They will tell you that it feels like a day.

So anyway...time marches on.  Whether we like it or not.

The weather here in Canada is absolutely beautiful.  It feels more like spring or fall - at least to me.  The locals say that is is nice as well.  Not too hot and not too cool.  Just right.  It has not rained since I have been here in Toronto.  We had rain almost every single day in Waterloo.  Perhaps when I return to Waterloo it will start raining again!  Now if I could just get it to snow.  That would be nice!

Going to see my friend Erick today.  It has been a LONG time since we have been able to see each other.  He is from the Philippines but moved to Canada when he was young.  He actually has some incredible stories from when they fled that area.  This was during the upheaval years ago. Some scary times for his family - and many others.

David has headed back to Waterloo.  We will meet up within again in a few days.  We had a great time here in Toronto.  I always feel inspired when I get around David and Doug.  They make me want to be a better person.  Dream bigger dreams.

I had a nice talk with Doug last night about the future of the internet and where everything is going.  He was telling me about a 2-D and 3-D world ahead of us - on-line at least.  It sounded fascinating.  I asked him to send me some more links about the subject.  I will post them online once I receive them.

Nothing new back home going on.  We did close on our second set of apartments.  YAY :)  That was on Friday.  So all good on the home front.  At least that is what my mother tells me.  Would she tell me if it wasn't okay????  :)  Daisy is doing well.  She is staying with Joey's parents.  I wonder if she misses us?  This is the longest I have been away since we got her last year.  She might not give me any kisses when I return home.  She might even put ME in the dog house!!!

This is nice - my friend Sue should like this - with her wonderful nature photos I thought about her as I watched this.  Seeing the world through her camera lens is always a treat..

Sigh...it is still early here in Toronto.  I think most people are sleeping still!  I am waiting for the city to wake up...then it will be time to explore some more!  Meet up with Erick.  Do a little bit of shopping.  Have some fun.

I miss this city.  :)  If you can't tell.  It always feel like I am returning home.  I have come to the conclusion that home can be more than one place at any given time.  Home is more of a feeling than a place.  It is a feeling that perhaps can't be explained.  It is just something we know.  A feeling of security...a sigh of being...a thought in our mind.

We are talking about living in Boston for a month this winter.  Perhaps January.  Maybe it will actually snow there???  I believe Boston is a wonderful place to take photographs.  A beautiful city.  Historic.  Just need to find a short term rental...furnished apartment.  Then go explore!  I love to explore.  I think I am restless.  Can't stay in one place longer than a few years.  I am not sure there is anything wrong with that?  I guess I am just a curious person.  I love to see new places...meet new people...discover new horizons.    I am fairly certain I would have volunteered to tag along with Christopher Columbus and explore the oceans and seas.

Okay well enough jibberish for this morning.  I need to take a shower!  Shout out to Kristy down in Birmingham - big wave and a hug!  Doug said hello...David as well.  :)  Have not seen Keri yet...but I am sure she will send waves as well.  You might like this one.  No matter what path you may take...this holds true

Toronto has a lot of art.  I believe all new construction has to put aside a certain amount o fmoney for art.  The art can be on the building or in front of it.  Pretty cool don't you think?

This is one of the pieces of art that we saw walking to the CN Tower the other night.
BEAUTIFUL piece.
We spent today with Erick.  Went to see the movie Hairspray :)  Not a big fan of musicals but it was funny.  John Travolta dressed in drag was worth a few laughs!

Joey on Yonge Street - the longest street in the world!!!
