Busy...busy...busy of late! My new criminal
justice class started today...I got a head start and did
my homework last week. So all is well on the
criminal justice front! The class looks
interesting. I have already learned something.
So great! My meteorology course is also coming
along. So far so good with that. I wish the
instructor would open up the test though. I think
I have to wait another week. :( I shall
wait!
I put out some squirrel feeders today. I
actually went to buy some corn to feed them and then I
found some feeders that you nail to a tree. So I
bought three. I will see how this turns out!
We can watch them from the porch. IF they show up
that is. I will have to post the latest squirrel
news as it unfolds!
Still waiting on the bank to finish their evaluation
of the apartments down in Mayfield. In the
meantime we had an offer on the Broadway House.
Not as much as we wanted though. Now we have to
make a decision on what to do. Waiting on a phone
call as I type!
Father's Day is Sunday. That is more of a
reminder to myself than anything!
My dad did come by today and helped me remove a
couple of dead trees. I saw trees...they were
small evergreens. Something killed them over the
last year. :( I think I might plant some
dogwoods. They do well in shaded locations.
John came over today and spent a few hours. We
had to catch up. I am having lunch with Sue on
Thursday...and I am meeting with Caesar and Tracie
tomorrow - Red Cross. We are having a 7.7
earthquake next Tuesday in his area. We have to
prepare for the event. I saw we are having a 7.7 -
this is a drill! A national drill to be exact.
Numerous states are going to be involved. Should
be fun! Caesar and I have to be at the EOC that
morning...the 19th.
Let's see what else is going on...I am heading for
Florida on the 29th. Going to visit Kristy for the
Fourth of July holiday. Then to Canada and Europe.
When I return home it will almost be FALL! Well
not quite...but closer at least! BRING ON THE
SNOW!
BRING ON THE RAIN is more like it though. We
are now in a serious short term drought. Farmers
needs rain. We are in a moderate drought for the
longer term. We need rain. Perhaps we can
get some tropical storms to hit the Gulf Coast.
That would help everyone. The Southeast needs rain
and they need it BAD!
Lot of exciting days ahead. I can't wait to see
my friends in Canada!!!!!!
Kicking around the idea of putting my coins in order.
It has been awhile. I love Morgan Silver Dollars!
I need to get back into collecting them. It has
been awhile. I started on the Walking Liberty
Halves...but now the DMPL Morgan bug is biting me again.
I think I like the history of collecting coins.
Something about owning a piece of American history!
I am weird! lol Everyone has to have a hobby
though! I have a few. Keeps me out of
trouble. ;)
Okay so two people asked me about the cake I baked
for Joey's birthday. So I didn't actually BAKE the
cake but I did light the candles. Does that count
for something?
Is anyone watching the show America's Got Talent?
If so then you will know what I mean when I say -
AMERICA OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT HAVE TALENT. lol
Oh and I almost forgot :) We have a Space
Shuttle back in space!!!!!!!!
ATLANTIS TAKES OFF!!!!

Let me say for the record that this is not good news...
Hamas Seizes Control
of Main Gaza Road
as Civil War Breaks Out
AP via FOX ^ | June 13, 2007
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Fierce battles over key
security positions spread to central Gaza early
Wednesday, with Hamas fighters wresting control of the
coastal strip's main north-south road — and putting
themselves in position to cut off reinforcements to
beleaguered Fatah forces.
In the southern town of Khan Younis, a one-ton bomb
planted in an underground tunnel tore through the
headquarters of a security force loyal to Palestinian
President Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah, said Ali Qaisi, a
presidential guard spokesman. At least one person was
killed and eight others were injured, medics said.
The violence in Gaza has rapidly spiraled toward all-out
civil war, with more than 50 reported killed since
Monday. Hamas has systematically taken control of
security positions in the north and south, apparently
leaving the main battle for the strip's security and
political nerve center in Gaza City for last.

We sold Broadway today. YAY :) The last of the
older houses we had for sale. Now we are waiting
to hear from the bank on the apartments. |
|
Nothing on the squirrel front today. I guess the
squirrels have to find the food first. I am
keeping a watch though! |
|
I was looking for some word documents this afternoon and
look what I found :) hehe |
|
Mother, Deena, Dione, and me :) |
|
That would be Dione and me. Looks like Dione's

floating in my little pool. |

Deena is going to kill me for putting
this photo

Looks like a windy Easter ! No
doubt I am wondering if it might storm. |
|
Okay well that is the flashback for this evening...I am
sure David, Kristy, and Sue will get a kick out of those
photos. Counting down the days till I get to visit
Kristy and then David and Doug - and everyone else up
north!!!!! YAY |
|
Let's go over to the Squirrel Cam and see what is going
on
http://www.paducahweather.net/
:)
|
No squirrels this evening :( Maybe I need to
lore them in with some corn on the ground first???? |
|
|
The drought spreads -
worsens - how soon until the heat arrives. 100+
coming soon? Could be. |
|

|
Test day. :) Having lunch with Sue.
Working on the disaster drill - earthquake - next
Tuesday. |
|
Everything is falling apart in Israel - I think the news
is not getting better. This is a bad situation
with Hamas.

|
|
Had a GREAT lunch with Sue! We talked for about 2
1/2 hours! I think we covered everything from
photography to travel. Sounds like she is staying
busy...busy is always good. At least for me it is!
I think Sue is enjoying her retirement. As she
should! |
|
Did I mention that it is HOT HOT HOT! 90s
today...90s all week it appears. Not my kind of
weather...but her what can you do! It is that time
of the year. No squirrels today. :( Maybe
tomorrow! |
