June in London!
Nice ride back to England. Lot of rain on the way up. Train
ride was still nice :)
Love all the beautiful countryside.
This is more like it :)
We are thinking about going down to the North Sea tomorrow or
the next day (perhaps both).
Should be nice down there. There are
several small
towns that we would like to see.
Rye is one of them and Dover. Both
sound like lovely places to visit.

WAY WAY WAY behind on photographs :) We went to
Southern England...East Essex. I hope I spelled
that right :) Rye
and Hastings and then Dover. We also went to Canterbury Cathedral
(incredible). It will
take me a few days to get photos finished. Anyhoo a SUPER trip so far. England is a beautiful country.
Lot of
places to visit and see. The churches/cathedrals here are AMAZING.
Beautiful! We head back
home tomorrow morning/afternoon. Should be
home by Sunday Night.
Much more later :)

Catching up here in Paducah! I did make it
home. VERY busy now. It takes awhile to catch up on everything.
I am putting
together a new power-point for Family Service Function class for the Red Cross.
That is going to take me a day or so to
complete. It will be a great tool though. I have to teach a church
on Saturday! This will be that shelters third class. Hopefully
we will have a good turnout. Also working on other disaster projects.
So busy busy!
Some more photos from England...

We went from the U.K. down to Paris, France.
Zoomed in on England
We went from London down to Rye, England and then Hastings and Dover.
We also zipped
up to Canterbury to see the Cathedral. Beautiful areas!!!!
RYE - HASTINGS - DOVER - CANTERBURY, ENGLAND
We traveled south from London and headed form Rye, England. We
thought it would be a
good idea to see the southlands! It was a great trip. The scenery
was great. Ton of flowers
and little villages along the way. England certainly has some nice
countryside. Well
worth the trip south.
We spent the night in Rye, England. The bed and breakfast was over
600 years old! They
said it has a few ghosts that roam the hallways. We kept hearing things
during the night. :)
The ghosts didn't scare me though. lol :)
Rye, England is a great little village to visit. Cobblestone
streets, little shops and restaurants,
beautiful old churches and houses. It was certainly worth visiting.
We skipped down to Hastings as well. This is located right on the
English Channel. The North
Sea was also nearby. Hastings wasn't as nice as Rye but it was still worth
the visit. There are
so many old churches and houses in these towns. HUNDREDS of years old!
From Hastings and Rye we headed to Dover and Canterbury. Canterbury
is where the huge
cathedral is located. BEAUTIFUL! Dover has the Dover
Castle and the "chalk" hills. A
scenic area. It was nice to see the water. :)

Me in front of the British Red Cross Shop. They sell items here
and all of the money will go towards disasters. I bought a bear :)
This is located in Rye, England.
Rye, England! A BEAUTIFUL little hamlet. Cobblestone streets.
The rose is the flower of England. They are EVERYWHERE! Huge
roses...growing up and over the sides of houses. These are some small
ones.
Flowers everywhere...growing out of the sides of this wall. Rye, England
