WELCOME TO CHINA
We will be landing in Shanghai around 12 p.m.
Shanghai is the largest city in China. They have over 17 MILLION people living there. HUGE! There are more than 22 million in the local area. An unbelievable amount of people for a city. It is one of the larger cities in the world.
We rode the Magnetic Levitation Train into Shanghai. It goes over 400 km an hour! SUPER fast. It levitates on the track. Pretty kewl ;)
The hotel room at the JW Marriott is HUGE...the view is INCREDIBLE. When it stops raining I will take some photographs.

The Yu Gardens in Shanghai. Peaceful place to go visit.

One of the many dragons that can be found inside the garden. Dragons are considered protectors.
Another dragon...
Plenty of fish :)
This is our tour guide. Really nice and informative. I have learned a lot in just a few hours!

Cloudy day...photos are kind of dark. Looks like some more drizzle and clouds tomorrow. :) Hopefully it won't rain as hard.
There are things in life that come and go…
Like a summers breeze, the sun setting, spring showers, and fall leaves.
Maybe that is why we enjoy them so much, because one minute they are here and the next they are gone. Just long enough for us to appreciate them. To feel them. To smell them. To watch them fall to earth.
The Cherry Blossoms are that way. When we arrived they were barely noticeable but by the time we left they were exploding all around us like fireworks on the Fourth of July. Brilliant flashes of color to welcome in a new season. Spring.
Life moves at such a fast pace. Days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months. Months then turn in years. Before you know it…you are looking back and wondering where it all went. All those sun rises and sun sets, all those bolts of lightning and rumbles of thunder, all those snowflakes piling up on the front yard. They come and they go.
I realize that I find myself caught up in the daydreams. Flying above the clouds, floating through the trees, drifting aimlessly. Sighing and gazing up into the night sky…watching and waiting for that one shooting star.
There are things in life that come and go.
Enjoy them, seize them, cherish them.
