HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE

Wednesday...November 23, 2005

Kristy is coming tonight.  She should be here at 11 p.m.  She will be driving up from Birmingham.  Thank you to those who sent me Happy Thanksgiving emails and the like.  Always nice to hear from friends.

It was windy here today...winds over 40 mph.  No snow here though :(  It is snowing across the Great Lakes area and down into Eastern Kentucky!  Luck them.  Toronto is supposed to get some snow tonight...not much though.  :)

Working around the house today - trying to get everything ready for turkey day!  Family and friends will be coming over on Thursday and/or Friday.  Looking forward to a super time!

John stayed over last night...he was a big help!

I will post photographs of the Christmas Lights in the coming days :)  They look awesome!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE :)  IT'S THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!

SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK POSSIBLE ON SUNDAY AND MONDAY

I am watching a storm system that could bring another severe weather outbreak to portions of the Southern United States.  Most likely time for this event would be Sunday and Monday.  This could be a serious outbreak and needs to be watched.

THANKSGIVING 2005 :)

Thursday

Kristy has arrived safely.  :)  Everyone is coming over this afternoon and evening and then we are going to see Harry Potter.  Our Thanksgiving Dinner will be here tomorrow.

I am still forecasting some severe weather on Sunday and Monday.

Well today is off to a start...heh one fire and one cut finger.  eek

A SUPER day here at Ashcreek.  We decorated the entire house :) and had a ton of food to eat.  Almost the whole family was here.  It will take awhile to get all of the pictures together.  :)  Lot of good photos though.  Everyone had a great time...the kids even got to swim.

It was 18 this morning!  BRRRRR

Severe weather likely later this weekend...a bit concerned about this one for the Missouri and Tennessee Valleys.

Saturday...

A ton of nice photographs to post.  It will take me awhile to finish them all.

Still looks very storm for Sunday Night and Monday.  Some storms tonight as well...nothing like the big event though.  Defin think there will be some more tornadoes across the Missouri and Tennessee Valley over the next 48 hours.

Had a great evening with Joey, Kristy, and Julie.  We went to the art stores that are located in Lower Town Paducah.  I have never been to all of these stores.  There are nearly 30 of them!  Some really kewl art work and a lot of photography work.  I was impressed!

Saturday Night...

TORNADO AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OUTBREAK EXPECTED ON SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY

UNBELIEVABLE model runs tonight...VERY strong and powerful storm expected to move through the Cental United States over the next 24 to 36 hours.  MAJOR outbreak of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes across the Missouri, Ohio, and Tennessee Valleys.  I expect severe thunderstorms to be almost certain across this region on Sunday Night.  I can't believe we are going to see another significant outbreak.

Is this November?

SUNDAY

PUBLIC SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   0336 AM CST SUN NOV 27 2005

   VALID 270936Z - 271730Z

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED OVER PARTS OF THE SOUTHERN AND
CENTRAL PLAINS INTO THE LOWER AND MID MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEYS
   LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER IN NORMAN OK IS FORECASTING THE
DEVELOPMENT OF WIDESPREAD SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARTS OF THE
SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL PLAINS INTO THE LOWER AND MID MISSISSIPPI RIVER
   VALLEYS LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THE AREAS MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE THIS ACTIVITY INCLUDE

          ARKANSAS
          FAR EASTERN KANSAS
          MISSOURI

SURROUNDING THE MODERATE RISK AREA...THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK OF
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM CENTRAL KANSAS AND FAR EASTERN
OKLAHOMA/TEXAS ACROSS THE LOWER AND MID MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEYS.

A VERY POTENT WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN PLAINS TODAY BRINGING AN ENHANCED RISK OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE FORECAST REGION.  THE AIR MASS WILL BECOME
UNSEASONABLY WARM AND MOIST AT THE SURFACE AHEAD OF THIS SYSTEM...
WHILE WINDS ALOFT BECOME QUITE STRONG. THEREFORE...IT APPEARS
PARAMETERS WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY FAVORABLE FOR AN OUTBREAK OF
   SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...INCLUDING SUPERCELLS...LATER TODAY AND
   TONIGHT.

THIS POTENTIAL OUTBREAK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD BEGIN OVER
PORTIONS OF KANSAS AND FAR EASTERN OKLAHOMA/WESTERN ARKANSAS BY THE
MID TO LATE AFTERNOON. ACTIVITY WILL LIKELY FORM INTO A LARGE
SQUALL LINE ALONG AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT WHICH WILL MOVE RAPIDLY
EASTWARD ACROSS THE MID AND LOWER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEYS THROUGH
THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.  VERY STRONG WIND SHEAR WILL SUPPORT A
THREAT OF TORNADOES AND WIDESPREAD DAMAGING WINDS BOTH WITH THE
SQUALL LINE AND ANY ISOLATED SUPERCELLS PERSISTING AHEAD OF THE MAIN
LINE OF STORMS.  VERY COLD AIR ALOFT WILL ALSO FAVOR LARGE HAIL WITH
STORMS INTO KANSAS...WESTERN MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS.  GIVEN THE
MAGNITUDE OF THE FORECAST SHEAR...ENSUING TORNADOES AND DAMAGING
   WINDS COULD BE QUITE STRONG/DESTRUCTIVE.

THOSE IN THE THREATENED AREA ARE URGED TO REVIEW SEVERE WEATHER
SAFETY RULES AND TO LISTEN TO RADIO...TELEVISION...AND NOAA WEATHER
RADIO FOR POSSIBLE WATCHES...WARNINGS...AND STATEMENTS LATER TODAY.

   ..EVANS.. 11/27/2005
