The next big Shadow Angel Project is in FULL bloom now! We have put together FIVE teams and will have SIX by the end of the day! My goal was seven but I think I may increase that to TEN! It won't be easy but it will be possible. Anything is POSSIBLE ;) heh.
As of Saturday Morning we have the following
On top of number 6 we also have one more that is considering joining at this time. That would hit my first goal mark of 7 teams for the Red Cross Heroes Campaign.

SUNDAY - BEAUTIFUL DAY IN
WESTERN KENTUCKY
Went to KY Lake this afternoon. It was just beautiful outside. Temperatures around 80 degrees and low humidity. Does not get better than this in June!

of Blandville, KY (Ballard). The magnitude was 3.0.
This is a preliminary location and magnitude determined from
data provided by the Central and Southeast U.S. Cooperative
Seismic Network and by the U.S. Geological Survey. Magnitude
and location may change slightly as more data become available.
MONDAY EARTHQUAKE - A SECOND QUAKE HITS WESTERN KENTUCKY
Well a second quake has hit the area this morning. This one had a nice rumble and shook the house. Woke me up from sleeping. The quake hit around 7:30 in the morning. The Earthquake Center says that it measured 3.9. This is this third earthquake this week. VERY unusual for this region.
This morning quake as it shows up on the
Helicorder.
How unusual is all of this? We normally see quakes like this once every EIGHT years. There have been four significant events over the past few months.
Breaking News...
We have Hero Team number six!!!! YAY
The team will be named Team X for now. Waiting to hear what they name
their team.
MONDAY NIGHT IN PADUCAH

The Paducah Sun is going to print four of my photos! Pretty kewl!
Team X has a name now! Team x becomes Team Murray! Hoping to add one more team tonight. That would give us SEVEN teams! NOT BAD!
WOO HOO MY PHOTOGRAPH MADE THE FRONT
PAGE!!!!!
UPDATE FROM THE HOME FRONT
:) Things have been busy here on Ashcreek Drive. Just trying to keep up with everything at the house is a full time task! It seems that way at times. Nothing major...but small things sure do add up! Went out to eat with my mother and grandmother last night. Grandmother is looking about as good as an 89 year old can look. She sure has made a tremendous come-back from a year ago. Amazing! I am glad that mother and her are able to be together. I know it is a lot of work though for my mother. Between taking care of herself and grandmother...well :) that is a lot of work!
Staying busy with Shadow Angel work. We donated a few bears to the Relay for Life about 2 weeks ago. This is a cancer fund raiser here in the states (worldwide?). I am also working on a new logo for the foundation. I need to meet with Joe Craft about finishing up the non-profit status. I should do that now I guess! We are almost finished with some other projects as well. I will keep those in hand for now. :) Slowly moving the charity forward. It takes time to build a reputation and to build something nice. Slowly but surely! The best way to go. The Heroes Campaign is keeping me busy this week!
The kids are all doing great. No complaints or problems there. Most of them just got back from Disney. They had a blast. I am waiting for some photos! Ring Ring Deena :) Anyhoo the nephew and nieces are are well.
I guess Dour and Erick are still in France. They should be home by this weekend. Doug said that they are having a blast. He needed a vacation he said. I think this one did the trick for him. Erick is having a great time as well. I am sure he will be happy to return to Toronto though for this weekends festivals!
David should be leaving for Japan next week. That seems to be the current plan. I might go with him in July. Have to see how things go. It might be August.
The HOT weather is here for now. We hit 92 degrees this afternoon! I believe this is the hottest day yet. The humid air is here to stay as well. Drought is knocking on our door. Severe drought is indicated for most of Southern Missouri and all of Arkansas. The NWS says that these regions are in serious need of rain. Thankfully we got some rain a few weeks ago here in Paducah. Other areas were not so lucky. There is some indication that rain may start to return later this weekend and next week. We shall hope.
Supposed to meet with someone from the Paducah Sun later this week. I think they are going to give me some official press credentials. That would be nice and that would be helpful!
OK well I am doing great down here. No drama lately - that is a good thing! It is nice to have a little peace and quite every so often! I am sure everyone shares that sentiment.
More later...

Made the front page AGAIN! YAY :) heh
The bee photo made the front page!
AND another photo further back in the paper!
So anyhoo that makes two front page photos in two days! Pretty nice!
The weather is going to sizzle today. We hit 92 yesterday. I believe that is the warmest day so far this year. We should be even HOTTER today. EEK. Don't think we will hit 100 yet. Have to wait and see how tomorrow and Saturday plays out. Could be brutal. Maybe a chance for some showers later in the weekend and next week. Hopefully that will happen. We need the rain.
Red Cross meeting this morning. Going to go over the Heroes stuff with Sue Henry.
More later...
FINALLY GOT THE BACK PORCH FINISHED!
Nice to sit out there in the evening. A bit hot in the day though!
HEROES UPDATE :)
I turned in SEVEN teams today to the Red Cross. Sue Henry will be
sending letters to everyone who has signed up. So far we have a BUNCH!
I am still waiting to hear from a few people in Canada. This is the
largest group of heroes so far for this chapters campaign. We had four
individuals and or teams as of this morning! Now we have ELEVEN!
THURSDAY AFTERNOON...
HOT WEATHER IN THE HEARTLAND!
ALMOST 100 HERE IN PADUCAH TODAY! HOT HOT HOT! We had 96 in Lone
Oak!!!!! SIZZZZZZLE
Ooo we have bats out back :) I guess they are living in the bat boxes. I will have to try and check. We defin have bats though :)

I wish I wish upon a star...for Rickys freedom to not be far
Twinkle twinkle little star,
how I wonder what you are?
Up above the world so high , like a diamond in the sky
When the blazing sun is gone, when he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light, twinkle, twinkle all the night.
Then the traveler in the dark, thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go, if you did not twinkle so.
In the dark blue sky you keep, and often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye, 'till the sun is in the sky.
As your bright and tiny spark lights the traveler in the dark.

Anger...sadness...anger...sadness...anger...sadness
Joey on the deck at the house...
Went to Noble Park today...the geese were out in
force. Joey decided he
needed to feed them :)
Hungry Canadian Geese
Geese attacking Joey - I warned him about
not breaking the
bread up before he started to feed them.
Over to Metropolis for an "mother
emergency" run
Ok so mothers car battery went dead and we had to go over
and jump start her car. When I took the cover off the battery
there was some of that white acid built up around the rim.
Mother decided that using her duster would take care of the
problem. I don't know about that! heh
Ok Kristy this is your photo of the day :) I know
you like to see me work with
power tools. :) lol
I told Angel to say hi to Lucy down in Birmingham and
she just snubbed her
nose up in the air :) I guess she is upset over the whole Florida trip
thing.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO since we
WERE in town - I figured we had
to go over to the Superman Statue
:)

Insanity slowly sets in.
Day 1.
There are monkeys in the closet.
I think they need to be fed. I am not sure though. I am not even
sure where they came from. I don't even have time for monkeys right now.
I am too busy tending to the giraffe that is running loose out back.
That would all be enough to worry about but there is also the FREAKIN crocodile
that found its way into the swimming pool. He is NOT leaving anytime soon.
He already ate the fake pelican that was setting out there.
And if that wasn't enough I believe we have piranha in the whirlpool. All
good and well because I am thankful that the meteor didn't hit the house.
The neighbors were not so lucky.
Well if we can just make it through the week without animal control showing up...then I guess all is not lost.
"These are the days of our lives" (someone cue up the music here please)
More later...I have to run now - the
monkeys are out of the closet.
Just another typical Monday in the
neighborhood. Nothing to see here...move along - pip pip - tally ho
